If Zipify OneClickUpsell (OCU) earns your store about 3,000 USD a month in upsells, it costs 149 USD a month; AfterSell’s post-purchase plan is a flat 34.99 USD, ReConvert is 199 USD at that level and GemPages’ Optimize plan, which includes unlimited post-purchase upsells, is shown at 47 USD. At low upsell revenue ReConvert’s 9.99 USD Growth plan is hard to beat; at high revenue AfterSell’s flat fee is the cheapest of the four. OCU stays competitive when you want its full set of placements (product page, cart, checkout on Shopify Plus, thank-you page) in one app with no add-ons.
Use your own number: OCU’s dashboard reports upsell revenue, which is exactly what its bill is based on, so you can read your row in the table below. Prices are from each app’s pricing page or Shopify App Store listing, read on 28 and 29 Sept 2026.
Cost at three levels of upsell revenue
Monthly app cost in USD, our arithmetic from the published plans. The order counts are an assumption (we pair each revenue level with an order count, because ReConvert bills on whichever of the two is higher); change them to yours.
| Scenario | Zipify OCU | ReConvert | AfterSell (Post-Purchase) | GemPages Optimize |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 300 orders, 600 upsell revenue | 49 (8.2% of upsell revenue) | 9.99 (Growth) | 34.99 | 47 shown (59 regular) |
| 1,500 orders, 3,000 upsell revenue | 149 (5.0%) | 199 (Scale) | 34.99 | 47 shown (59 regular) |
| 5,000 orders, 9,000 upsell revenue | 269 (3.0%) | 199 (Scale) | 34.99 | 47 shown (59 regular) |
How each column bills:
- Zipify OCU: 14 price steps by monthly upsell revenue, from 9.95 USD up to 200 USD of upsells to a 999 USD cap, per its pricing page. 600 falls in the 500 to 1,000 step (49), 3,000 in the 2,500 to 5,000 step (149), 9,000 in the 7,500 to 10,000 step (269). Zipify’s help article says this pricing applies to installs from 21 Sept 2026 and existing users keep their current rates, so an older install may pay a different price.
- ReConvert: Free up to 50 orders or 50 USD of upsell revenue; Growth 9.99 USD up to 2,000; Scale 199 USD up to 10,000; Elite 499 USD up to 20,000, counting whichever of orders and upsell revenue is higher (listing). At 1,500 orders and 3,000 of revenue, the 3,000 counts, which is past Growth.
- AfterSell: flat by plan: Post-Purchase 34.99, Pre-Purchase 59.99, Complete 79.99 USD a month, with a 30-day trial (listing). The post-purchase plan is the like-for-like choice for OCU’s post-purchase offers; the bigger plans add pre-purchase placements.
- GemPages: a page builder whose pricing page lists limited post-purchase upsell (up to 100 USD a month) on the free plan and unlimited on Optimize, shown at 47 USD against a crossed-out 59 (pricing). It makes sense mainly if you already build pages with GemPages.
- Rebuy is not in the table: it sells packages from 25 USD a month each, priced by order tier, or the full Platform One suite at 534 USD a month (pricing), and the order-tier ladder was not something we could turn into a like-for-like row. See the Rebuy review.
What switching away from OCU changes
- The billing basis. OCU’s bill follows upsell revenue; ReConvert’s follows orders or revenue; AfterSell’s does not move. If your upsell revenue is high relative to your order count, a flat fee wins; if offers rarely convert, OCU costs less, and so does ReConvert while your monthly orders stay within 2,000.
- The step cliffs. OCU jumps a step at each revenue boundary (from 99 to 149 USD at 2,500 USD of upsells, for example) and ReConvert jumps from 9.99 to 199 USD past its Growth limit. The Zipify OCU review lists the cost share at the top and bottom of every OCU step.
- Placements. OCU’s pricing page lists product page, pre-purchase, post-purchase, cart, thank-you page and in-checkout offers (checkout needs Shopify Plus) on every step. Check that the alternative covers the placements you actually use before you uninstall; the AOV system guide explains where each offer type fits.
- Leftover code. Uninstalling an upsell app can leave theme code behind; see Shopify app leftover code before you switch.
We did not measure acceptance rates for any of these apps, and none is claimed; run the new app’s trial against your current numbers before you switch.
Pick by situation
- Stay on OCU if your upsell revenue sits near the top of a step, where its cost share is lowest (about 2.3 to 5 percent), and you use several of its placements.
- Pick AfterSell if your post-purchase offer earns well: above 500 USD of monthly upsell revenue its flat 34.99 is below OCU’s step price (49 USD or more).
- Pick ReConvert at low volume: 9.99 USD covers you while both monthly orders and upsell revenue stay at or under 2,000.
- Pick GemPages Optimize if you already use GemPages for pages and want upsells in the same app.
- Pick Rebuy if the real need is a smart cart and recommendations across a large catalogue, not one post-purchase offer.
The order-based view of the same apps (cost at 100, 500 and 2,000 orders) is in ReConvert vs Zipify OCU vs AfterSell, and the ranked shortlist is best Shopify upsell apps. If GemPages fits, you can try GemPages.
Common questions
What is the cheapest alternative to Zipify OCU?
It depends on volume. Above 200 USD of monthly upsell revenue, ReConvert’s Growth plan (9.99 USD) is cheapest while both your orders and your upsell revenue stay at or under 2,000. Past that, AfterSell’s flat 34.99 USD is cheapest once upsell revenue is above 500 USD; below that, OCU’s 9.95 or 25 USD step costs less.
Is AfterSell cheaper than Zipify OCU?
Once OCU passes its 25 USD step: above 500 USD of monthly upsell revenue OCU costs 49 USD or more, against AfterSell’s flat 34.99. Below that, OCU’s 9.95 and 25 USD steps cost less.
Does Zipify OCU charge by orders?
No. Its pricing page says the price scales only with the upsell revenue OCU generates, not order volume or total store revenue.
Method: researched from Zipify’s pricing page and help article, the ReConvert and AfterSell Shopify App Store listings, and the GemPages and Rebuy pricing pages, read on 28 and 29 Sept 2026; costs and shares are our arithmetic. We did not measure upsell acceptance or revenue.
