StoreCartel
About StoreCartel
An independent review and guide site for e-commerce and digital-creator tooling: the software stack behind launching, running and growing an online store.
We cover store platforms like Shopify, page and funnel builders, print-on-demand and fulfillment services, email and SMS marketing tools, and the upsell and ad-creative apps that turn traffic into revenue.
The site exists because most coverage of this space is either affiliate-driven hype or generic listicles. Builders deserve better: specific pricing breakdowns, honest limitation sections, and comparisons that end with a clear recommendation instead of "it depends."
Who publishes this
The StoreCartel editorial team, an independent research publication, live since July 2026. We do not use personal bylines or invented reviewer profiles. Every fact is checked against its cited source, and each page gets a separate review pass before it is published. Read the full method, the editorial policy and the dated corrections log.
How we research
Researched, with dates
Pages are researched from official documentation, pricing pages, changelogs and independent reviews, with checked dates. We do not run our own benchmark tests, and we do not assign scores.
Affiliate links, disclosed and separated
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Verdicts are written before and independently of any affiliate relationship. We say when a tool has no affiliate program rather than pretending otherwise.
Kept current
E-commerce software pricing and features change often. Every review and guide carries a published date, its sources and when they were checked, and we re-verify pricing against official sources when we update. If you spot something stale, it is a bug, not a policy.
Honest about trade-offs
Launching a store is genuinely easy to get wrong: the wrong platform, an app stack that eats margin, a funnel tool that does not fit the product. We publish the trade-offs alongside the recommendations, because a review without the downsides is not a review.
Read the full affiliate disclosure for exactly which links are affiliate links and how that works. The app cost calculator publishes its method and change log on the page.
Corrections
If a price, feature or claim on this site is out of date or wrong, we want to fix it. The fastest-moving part of this industry is the part we cover, and we treat corrections as a feature of the site, not an embarrassment. Tell us through the contact page; fixes are recorded with their dates on the corrections log.
