ReConvert vs Zipify OCU vs AfterSell: What Each Costs at 100, 500 and 2,000 Orders

Published Updated 5 min read

Researched from official docs and public sources, checked .

At low volume ReConvert and Zipify OCU cost about the same (ReConvert $9.99 a month from 51 orders and free up to 50; Zipify $9.95 while upsells earn under $200), AfterSell costs a flat $34.99 or more, and Zipify OCU costs $9.95 until upsells earn $200 a month, then steps up with upsell revenue to a $999 cap. At 2,000 orders a month, on our example assumptions, ReConvert is cheapest at a 5 percent take rate ($9.99, exactly at its Growth limit) and AfterSell’s $34.99 is cheapest at 10 percent, where ReConvert jumps to $199 and Zipify costs $149. The three bill in different ways: ReConvert by monthly orders (or upsell revenue, whichever is higher), Zipify OCU by the upsell revenue it generates, AfterSell by plan with no order limit shown on its listing. Which is cheapest at your size depends on how much your upsells earn. The worked table below uses stated assumptions you can swap for your own.

Zipify’s help article says its pricing update applies to new installations from 21 September 2026, while existing users keep their current rates, so an older install may pay differently. Zipify counts total upsell offer revenue including shipping and taxes; Shopify refunds are not factored in, and the app checks revenue every 6 hours, charging the difference as you cross tiers. The step prices above $1,000 come from Zipify’s pricing page (checked 29 Sept 2026); the full 14-step ladder is in the Zipify OCU review, and the same apps priced by upsell revenue rather than orders are in Zipify OCU alternatives.

Cost at 100, 500 and 2,000 orders

Assumptions, ours: each accepted upsell adds $20; either 5 percent or 10 percent of orders accept one. Those take rates are illustrative, not benchmarks: measure your own.

Monthly ordersUpsell revenue at 5% / 10%ReConvertZipify OCU at 5%Zipify OCU at 10%AfterSell (Post-Purchase)
100$100 / $200$9.99$9.95$9.95$34.99
500$500 / $1,000$9.99$25$49$34.99
2,000$2,000 / $4,000$9.99 at 5% (revenue sits exactly at the Growth limit); $199 at 10% (revenue $4,000 is over it)$99 ($1,000 to $2,500 step)$149 ($2,500 to $5,000 step)$34.99

ReConvert figures assume the Growth plan, since Free covers only 50 orders. ReConvert bills on the higher of orders and upsell revenue, so at 2,000 orders a month the 10 percent take rate ($4,000 of upsell revenue) pushes it past the Growth limit of 2,000 into the $199 Scale plan; at 5 percent the store sits exactly at the limit, and one more order or dollar crosses it. That cliff from $9.99 to $199 is the main thing to watch. Zipify’s cost grows as your upsells grow, which is fair early on and expensive at the top tiers.

What the numbers say:

  • At 100 orders, Zipify OCU ($9.95) and ReConvert ($9.99) are within 4 cents; at 500 orders ReConvert is cheapest on the listings.
  • Around 2,000 orders or $2,000 of upsell revenue, ReConvert’s Growth plan runs out and AfterSell’s flat $34.99 beats Zipify’s $99 or $149 in our example. Zipify’s price is about 2.3 to 5 percent of upsell revenue at the top of each step and, once upsells pass $200 a month, up to 12.5 percent just past a step boundary (our arithmetic, price divided by revenue), so it tracks what the upsells earn rather than your order count.
  • The flat fee is a bet that volume will come. If you sell 100 orders a month, AfterSell’s $34.99 is 3.5 times ReConvert’s.

What this table does not include

Features and quality of the funnels are not compared here: we have not measured conversion, and each vendor’s own claims about uplift are theirs. Read the vendor’s own feature pages and independent reviews. Ratings on the listings: ReConvert 4.8 stars from 3,094 reviews (28 Sept), Zipify OCU 4.6 from 565 (28 Sept), AfterSell 4.8 from 1,066 (29 Sept); listing ratings are self-selected and the counts differ. Rebuy is a different kind of tool (a smart cart engine for larger stores) and is not in our cost data; see the Rebuy review.

Pick by situation

  • Under 500 orders and testing whether upsells work at all: ReConvert. See the ReConvert review.
  • Revenue-based billing that starts almost free and scales with what the app earns: Zipify. See the Zipify OCU review.
  • A flat fee, and post-purchase plus a cart offer under one roof at higher volume: check AfterSell’s plan against your volume.

Update log

  1. Zipify's 2,000-order cost was a range because the price steps above $1,000 were marked unreadable; filled from Zipify's pricing page (checked 29 Sept 2026, already used on our Zipify review): $99 at 5% and $149 at 10%. Lead now gives the 2,000-order answer. Vendor pages could not be re-read on 1 Nov 2026.
  2. Rewritten around cost at 100, 500 and 2,000 orders using App Store listings and Zipify's billing article; AfterSell replaces Rebuy, which is a different kind of product and is not in our cost data.
