DropMagic Alternatives: Page Builders and Hosted Stores Compared

DropMagic’s free plan cannot publish to Shopify, so using it means 79 USD a month on its paid plan. Every page builder below costs less to start: GemPages and PageFly let you publish one page for free, Zipify Pages starts at 19 USD a month and GemPages’ Build plan at 23 USD. The trade-off is effort: DropMagic generates a whole store draft from a product link, while a page builder gives you templates and an editor and you assemble the pages. If you want the store hosted and stocked for you instead, SellShop is the closer match, at 49.97 USD a month plus 2 percent per sale.

Prices are from each vendor’s pricing page or Shopify App Store listing, read on 28 and 29 Sept 2026. We compared published plans and limits; we did not build stores with these tools.

GemPages’ pricing page showed Build at 23 USD against a crossed-out 29, Optimize at 47 against 59 and Enterprise at 159 against 199; the lower figures may be a promotion, so check at checkout. All Shopify-based tools sit on top of a Shopify plan, which DropMagic does too.

First-year cost, worked

App cost only, on monthly billing, for one store with a handful of pages, over 12 months. Our arithmetic from the table.

GemPages Build (shown price)23276
Zipify Pages Starter19228

SellShop is not in this table because it replaces the Shopify plan as well. Against Shopify Basic at 39 USD (with Shopify Payments, so no per-sale platform fee) plus DropMagic at 79, SellShop’s 49.97 is lower until monthly sales pass about 3,400 USD, where its 2 percent fee (68 USD) closes the 68 USD gap (118 minus 49.97). The SellShop alternatives page works through the platform side.

What you give up with a page builder

DropMagic’s case is speed to a full draft: per its listing and our review, the paid plan covers unlimited stores, 30 AI image credits a month and new sections each month. A page builder starts from templates, so you write the copy and choose the images yourself. The independent review we cite in the DropMagic review says the generated copy often needs editing anyway, which narrows the gap.

What you gain: more editing control after launch, and a free or cheaper plan that keeps working while you test. DropMagic is a one-shot builder, so if you will keep making landing pages after launch you will need a page builder anyway.

Pick by situation

  • Pick GemPages if you want one free published page now and funnels or post-purchase offers later in the same app; see PageFly vs GemPages vs Zipify Pages.
  • Pick PageFly if organic search matters to you and one free page is enough to start; it ranks first in our page builder shortlist.
  • Pick Zipify Pages if you run paid ads to a few landing pages and want the lowest paid entry price.
  • Pick SellShop if you would rather not run Shopify at all and accept a per-sale fee.
  • Keep DropMagic if a complete first draft in an afternoon is worth 79 USD to you, and plan to cancel once the store is built; ask DropMagic’s support what happens to published pages after you cancel, because the pages we read do not say.

The AI store builders guide covers the wider choice. If GemPages fits, you can try GemPages.

Common questions

Is there a free alternative to DropMagic?

GemPages and PageFly both have free plans that publish one page to your Shopify store (per their pricing page and listing, 28 to 29 Sept 2026). Neither generates a whole store from a product link.

Is DropMagic worth 79 USD a month?

For one fast store draft that you will edit, possibly; for ongoing page work, a page builder costs less. DropMagic’s free plan cannot publish, so 79 USD is the real starting price.

Does SellShop do the same as DropMagic?

Partly. Both aim to get a dropshipping store live fast, but SellShop hosts the store itself and charges 2 percent per sale, while DropMagic builds on your Shopify store.

Method: researched from DropMagic’s Shopify App Store listing, GemPages’ and Zipify’s pricing pages, the PageFly and Shogun listings and sellshop.ai, read on 28 and 29 Sept 2026; costs are our arithmetic. We did not build stores with these tools.
