Most failed launches are not mysterious. Something critical was skipped: no sample, no Pixel, password still on, shipping promises that the supplier cannot keep, or five products and zero depth. This checklist is the antidote—a phase-by-phase scorecard you can follow in order.
Use it beside the narrative setup guide: Shopify dropshipping complete setup. That article explains the why; this one is the tick-box spine. Default platform assumption is Shopify. If you chose another platform deliberately, keep the phases—swap only the platform-specific steps.
How to use it: complete one phase before the next. “Mostly done” is not done. If a line does not apply (e.g. POD instead of open-catalog dropshipping), mark it N/A with a note—not a silent skip.
How to score yourself
Treat each checkbox as binary. If you would be embarrassed for a customer or ad account reviewer to see the current state, it is not complete.

If Phase 0 is fuzzy, every later checkbox becomes theater. Write answers in a note you keep open while building.

Red flags — do not launch ads yet
If any of these are true, stop and fix. Launching anyway usually costs more than waiting two days.

- No contact method or unmonitored inbox
- More than one primary product “because maybe something sticks” without bandwidth

- No written budget ceiling for the test window
Watch out
Ad accounts and payment accounts have memory. Repeated customer complaints from a sloppy launch can limit you longer than a careful one-week delay.
